Photographer’s Note

Beacon or not beacon ?

I choosed to integrate the beacon in the picture, in order to give some depth to the views and break the simetry.
Some agreed with this choice, some not. If you leave me a comment, what about your opinion ?

Of the harbour of Bourcefranc-Le Chapus stands "Le Fort Louvois". It has been built from 1691 to 1694, to satisfy Louis XIV's demand, by "le Marquis de Louvois", to defend the south acces of the "Citadelle de Brouage" and pater to defend the the arsenal of Rochefort. It is build at 400 meters from the shore and is linked to the coast by a road wich is accessible during the low tide.
In the background, the lights of the Oleron bridge.
