Photographer’s Note
Yosemite as I love it. the contrast between color and temperature. Hiking along the river with snow up to my knee this is one of my favorite place. next time I'll go to the other site of the river and hope I can capture the half dome reflection. This image is merge with 2 images in photoshop. I thinks CS3 is excellent with merging images to create panorama picture.

ciao Phuoc,
just come back from your homeland.....and now I bump into this magic picture.
I experienced Yosemite in summer...and it was really astonishing. but this winter POV is much more magnetic and striking. I love the cotnrast between the golden sunny tones of the picks reflected into the cold water and the overall snow-white landscape.
a magic capture

Phuoc,
This is a fantastic photo! Your composition is great using the reflection to create depth and symmetry. The lighting and colors are outstanding with excellent sharpness and detail. The river leads the eye into the shot nicely creating a nice sense of direction. The contrast between the brightly lit area of the shot and the cold icy side is remarkable.

Hello,
Beautiful colours!!! This image looks like oil painted picture. Great sharpness and wonderful contrast between trees covered with snow being in the shade and sunlit one. I like these reflections in the water and the frozen piece of river on the right.
Congratulations and greetings!!

Hi Phuoc,
This is impressive and the large square format helps to see the big picture here. Great colors, exciting contrasts, and stunning reflections. Well done and TFS. Gerald

Hello Phuoc,
I have never seen yellow trees under the cover of snow. It is just a fairy tale. Great reflection and light and shadow contrast.

You hit it just right, with the calm after the storm and the low level lighting bouncing off the Washington Column in the background. Congratulations.
PS: We have not had a measurable storm in middle California since this one. So we are ready to start a rain dance.
(And get some snowshoes or cross country skis, it will open up more snow places to explore.)
