Hello dears!
Today it's time for something huge;) This is the Teutonic Knights Castle in Malbork.
Hope you like it!
-----------------------------------------------------
Malbork was built in Prussia around the fortress Ordensburg Marienburg which was founded in 1274 on the east bank of the river Nogat by the Teutonic Knights. Both the castle and the town of Marienburg (rendered in Polish as Malborg or Malbork) were named for their patron saint, the Virgin Mary. This fortified castle became the seat of the Teutonic Order and Europe's largest Gothic fortress. During the Thirteen Years War, the castle of Marienburg was pawned by the Teutonic Order to their imperial soldiers from Bohemia. They sold the castle in 1457 to King Casimir IV of Poland in lieu of their pay. This separated the castle from the city in political terms, as the citizens there did resist Poland[citation needed].
Under continuous construction for nearly 230 years, the castle complex is actually three castles nested in one another. A classic example of a medieval fortress, it is the worlds largest brick castle and one of the most impressive of its kind in Europe. The castle was in the process of being restored when World War II broke out. During the war, the castle was over 50% destroyed. Restoration has been ongoing since the war. However, the main cathedral in the castle, fully restored just prior to the war and destroyed during the war, remains in its ruined state. The castle and its museum are listed as UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

Witam sasiada,
ciekawe ujecie, ladne cieple swiatlo, sporo detali. Bycmoze efekt bylby jeszcze lepszy, gdyby kadrowac troche szerzej i dac wiecej przestrzeni po lewej stronie.
pozdrawiam

Hej, na Sylwestra do Malborka? Ciekawy pomysł. imponująco wygląda zamek w tej perspektywie. Chyba sporo go rozbudowali, wydaje mi się, że jakos troche inaczej to wyglądalo. dawno nie miałam okazji go zwiedzać, zawsze tylko spoglądam tęsknie z pociągu do Gdańska. Bardzo ciekawy kadr Pozdrawiam

Witam Mik,
An impressive castle, that really stands out with that warm light of the winter sun.
I am surprised to see that is made of bricks, I thought that there weren't so big brick castles in Europe. That makes it even more photogenic!
Regards, José.

Czesc mikeo,
fantastyczne zdjecie.
Przede wsztystkim doskonale swiatlo ale tez oryginalny POV.
Malbork czesto sie wydaje na zdjeciach raczej rozlegly i monotonny architektonicznie, a tu taki przepych i roznorodnosc.
Dobra robota.

Podoba mi się światło, no i oczywiście ów The biggest teutonic castle :)

Hi, my friends,
magnificent framing to receive the stateliness of the architecture of this castle, which is really impressive. The low light of the sun, the shades and the reddish and warm tones add a lot of graphic interest to this well balanced composition.
Nice work.

Piękny!
Aż pali źrenice czerwienią cegieł. Pewnie przed wiekami robił jeszcze wieksze wrażenie odstraszając skutecznie samym wygladem. Wspaniale zagrało swiatło na chłodnych murach Malborka. Jak zawsze dobra praca, staranna i nietuzinkowa.
Pozdrawiam,

Hi Mikeo
Good you posted this one I had never seen Malbork castle from this side, in addition to its traditional red color this angle allows for a very strong concentration of elements giving it a massive appearance.
Have a nice day JY

Wik,
This is a fine shot of this huge castle. The warm light gives the bricks a nice warm glow. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The angle of the shot works well giving the scene a nice sense of depth.

Hejo!
Robi wrażenie, oj robi... Nawet po tylu wiekach.
To jest jeden z cudów Polski niewątpliwie, choć z Polską jego powstanie niewiele ma wspólnego... :)
Pozdrawiam i gratuluję pięknej i wywazonej czerwonej kompozycji.

Pozdr.
