A really serene and beautiful shot. That abandoned home makes all the difference in a picture like this since it provides it with a sense of solitude and loneliness. The colors are properly saturated and the house is in the perfect spot within the picture. Well done.

hello Colin,
a well composed picture. You have been able to express with this photograph the melancholic feeling I get when I see places like this.

Hello Colin,
This is a wide open vista with many beautiful colors and shapes of the rolling hills. The old remains of the house is a pleasant sight on the open plain for your photograph. I see sheep close to the house, and this makes me believe that once there was a sheepherder living here, a beautiful, but desolate area to live, very serene...

A simple composition, Colin, but well framed and certainly conveys the austere beauty and isolation of this part of Scotland.

Hello Colin,
I like the natural look of this image.....colours very real......and the wide expanse of the view. The derelect look of the house creates some sense of past history. Well done.
Cheers Grant
