Standing Stones Photo

Photographer’s Note

These few standing stones i found mainly by accident - they are not mentioned in any travel book, except one very msal and quite old. Even some local poeple did not know they exist. Those stones are ancient monument dating from 2000 -1500 BC, they are of national importance and are situated on the Lundin Ladies Golf course in Lundin Links, Fife.

There are only three stones left, until late eighteen century was also the base of the fourth stone, but it has been lost.

To me it was an interesting place to find, since i have been in are for several times, but only last time discovered these stones. Wish i could play some golf - certainly a play would be different with stones like these on the course!!

Otima fotografia Inese. O ceu esta muito bonito, e o enquadramento classico dá muita informação sobre o lugar. Penso que falta mais definição a imagem. Saudações.

I like your choice of objects to photograph and the general composition is good. It lacks a bit contrast/sharpness and there is a pinkish color cast in the clouds, which doesn't seem to come from natural light. These things can easily be changed in Photo Shop.

Inese, great photo, the subject is obviously very interesting and you did a good job of presenting it to us, the focal point is clearly defined, good lighting creating nice shadows.
The quality of the scan isn't the best but I think we can all look past it and see the beauty of the area and the image you have created.
Hope the three remaing stones will be preserved.

A nice clean composition with very good warm light! The framing is very good as the three stones are very well balanced located in it...The photo has a great potencial indeed which should be improved in PS!
