Photographer’s Note
Just after the start of the day on the Black Mount. Followed by a day of the best light I'd seen in years in Glen Coe and Etive. Very cold but not overly so, about -10 maybe and crisp. No many people about.
Shot at about 150mm as the sun crept over the hills.

It's beautiful. Wonderful layers. I like the way it's divided into the two blue layers and the shadowed and well lit one. Very nice. Thanks.

Hi Dougie,
That is gorgeous light and color on Black Mount. I like that you gave precedence to the snow-dusted peaks and only included a bit of context in the rocks in the corner. Its different than what most do. Excellent and refreshing work.
Cheers!

Hi Dougie.
After reading John's note, I had another look in your gallery; I know I've commented on a couple of your shots before. Here is another under-rated photo. The clarity and sharpness, combined with the excellent rendition of the bright peaks and shaded lower reaches, make this one a very striking picture. The water looks superb, and your careful composition includes some foreground interest well placed in the lower corner. A very attractive layered photo. Well done.
Regards,
Andrew
