Partizan Summit Photo

Photographer’s Note

The countryside between Elbasan and Berat is quite appealing because of the variety of landscapes. Small parcels with agriculture are combines with nature and lowlands and hilly parts.
In the distance you can see the dominating mountain east of Berat, the Partizan Summit with 2600m the highest peak in the western part of the country.

What a breathtakingly lovely river landscape with a lovely blue sky and contrast lush green reflection from the banks of this lovely river.
The beautifuly farm lands leading to the distant mountains provide great depth to this fine image.

Les couleurs sont merveilleuses, ce vert, avec les brun jaune, l'eau, la belle montagne en fond avec de la brume, superbe compo, le premier plan en V avec l'arbre est très bien vu comme captage, grandiose.

Olá Gerrit, nice attractive saturated colors as usual from you. Beautiful sequence of stripes culminating in the distant snowcapped peaks. Fine 'V' shape in FG with the tree and splendid manage of the bright light.

A fine landscape composition. I like the saturated colours which heighten the patchwork effect of the field patterns, though there is some evidence of haloing around the foreground trees. Sharpness is very good from front to back.

I like the way you have composed this with the V and the tree central (normally I would prefer it off-centre) in the foreground. It seems to frame the beautiful view across the river. The perspective lines of the fields all seem to point to the snowy mountain. Well done

it is indeed a very beautiful landscape. Your vantage point gives you a fantastic point of view over the landscape.
However, I think there is a problem with the pp as it is obivous that there are halos around the trees and some artifacts of either over-sharpening or over-saturation...My guess is that your camera made a very good adjustment to make sure the sky was not overexposed, however, I think your background was under-exposed. You tried to catch-up and find some light in this foreground, especially on the trees. I don't mind any post-processing on a picture, as long as it is invisible, and here, it is not.

You must have a big archive with Albania images.
This one has wonderful bright colors and a great depth.I like too your POV and this curve in the foreground.
