Photographer’s Note

A small and simple boathouse by the coastal area of Färjestaden.

Färjestaden is located in the southern part on the island of Öland and is named after the ferries that used to be the only connection to the mainland. Nowadays the impressive car-bridge Ölandsbron connects the mainline with the island, and Färjestaden has had an impressive population increase, making it several times bigger than the town Mörbylånga.

Good contrast between the red of the hut and the grey clouds in the sky as background. The light on the facade enhances the colours.

a nice title for this simple and at the same time very charming composition with beautiful contrasts. The light is wonderful! Most of all I like the perspective of the fence. A very pleasant capture of the boathouse!

Hej Peter,
A quite funny picture, the red hut gives me an impression of a face with two white eyes... The heavy sky seems to rest upon the little hut! Your composition with the fence is very good!
