hi Ally
I think you will like Kuching because we have similar streets, temples and architecture shown in your gallery, with familiar signboards, names, decorations and style. Very nicely composed view of the street but it seems like not as busy as years ago.
I like this old city, also shown in WS.

Hello Ally,
A typical looking street and architectures that could be found in any small town across the country. Surely this one is much neater with proper parking space, tiled pavement, and nice resurfaced road ... beneficiary of the tourism industry. The street of my hometown by contrast is a total chaos. Still a very nice photo with good composition, well managed exposure and lighting. I still keep looking down the street to see Sportstoto or Magnum sign boards ... they should be in the vicinity :). Regards. Happy New Year. Latiff.

Ally,
Beautiful shot of street with all the Chinese decoration. Sure is beautiful and festive. It seem very fitting with the architecture and all. I like it better than the Christmas decoration that they have there. I love all the beautiful red lattern in the air. Very good POV to well composed. thanks

Olá Ally, this is familiar to me. Nice wide angle to show the whole strett with the decorations. Interesting inclusion of the car's mirror that curiously fits well for the framing. And I like the old car in WS too - I'm not a fan of cars but it's not easy to find those in Portugal anymore. The red lanterns are great for graphic compositions, using a tele lens. The group working on the roof are a good detail of daily life.

Hi Ally,
The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view takes our eyes toward the end of the street which is giving depth to the photo. The houses are framing well the street. The light is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

It looks very festive already. What makes the image special is your opportunity to take it while the preparations are on-going with the people with the ladder and the lanterns still on the ground. Excellent daily life image.

This a good slice of life shot of the old neighbourhood dressed up for the Chinese New Year. We have a large Chinese population here too and they are getting ready for the new Years parade.

Hello Ally,
I like the Chinese New Year atmosphere :) Partly I saw such decorations when I was in Singapore (till Jan 9). Everything around begins to look so colourful, so bright. Very interesting.
I like this perspective view of the decorated street (especially those red lanterns hanging over the road). Good colours and lighting.
It's really fantastic to get to know other cultures and traditions!
Best wishes to you,
Elena

Hello Ally,
I'm a big fan of houses and streets like this, although my favourite still is Georgetown. We were in Malacca a couple of Chinese New Years ago and it's great to see not much has changed. The lanterns add much to the composition.

Hi Ally,
Many people enjoy preparations for a holiday even more than the holiday itself. I think that such a pre-holiday's mood is seen in your picture. Very well captured daily life and architecture of this street! Great job!
