Photographer’s Note

I will not be original for my first photography posted on TE in 2009: the Mont Saint Michel.
If you know me a little, it's my favorite place (place of my origins ).
But this photo is original because it was taken yesterday morning with the rising sun and the weather was very cold (-5°C )or (23°F )

Amazing picture. The hill seems to rise out of the mist. The blue and purple hues look great and the composition, particularly with the ducks in the foreground, is very nice as well.

Hi Patrice,

OK, so the subject might not be super original but your interpretation certainly stands out among the pantheon of MSM images. I've not seen any with this softness of atmosphere. The fog and early winter morning colors are what do it I think. Those pinks and mauves before sunrise are unique to this season and the cold fog reflects it wonderfully. Quite a nice one to start out 2009.

Great to start off the year with your favourite place! It looks absolutely magical almost floating in this light and mist and with such beautiful soft tones. Love the birds on the water in the foreground too. Lovely!

Le sujet a été peut être maintes fois présenté, mais rarement avec une telle atmosphère, une telle douceur, et autant de magie.

Belle image du Mont nimbé de ciel rosâtre avec cette atmosphère de petit matin brumeux et ces canards au premier plan. Je ne me lasse pas moi non plus de ce coin. Cà doit être ça qu'on appelle la nostalgie !!

Pas original peut-être mais une ambiance de toute beauté néanmoins, des premières lueurs mauves à l'horizon, aux brumes de la baie en passant par les canards au 1er plan, c'est une très belle réussite

peut-être une des plus belles photos du MSM qui m'a été donné de voir ces derniers temps, les tons pastels , la légere brume donne une ambiance toute particuliere a cette photo .

On ressent le froid ici avec la ligne de brouillard qui sépare l'eau et le mont. Gla Gla Gla
J'aime beaucoup le cadrage centré et ce ciel d'une rose pastèle.

Me rappelle la première fois que j'ai vu la merveille à l'horizon... splendide, et un très beau travail d'exposition, de cadrage (centré, ici, c'est top!) et de PP.
