Sublime Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

I opened my eyes after having a relaxing massage on the White Beach, Boracay, to find that the sun had just set, and the sky was beginning to glow.

I waded out into the silken sea until I was waist deep, and watched while nature treated me to one of the most sublime sunsets I have ever seen. I hope I have captured a fraction of this wondrous event.

Sunrises or sunsets are my favouries for catching great colour. The 'oily' water has captured the colour of the sunset perfectly. Thanks for sharing

Serena, this is one of a kind sunset shot!! the sea is much more important in creating the colours and the mood than the sky! well done, good that you opened your eyes at the right moment.

Very nice sunset you caught. I like the boat's silhouette, and the unlighted dark side at the underside.
What's that smal spot at the horizon, on the middle?

I am agree with many critizers of this splendid picture: it is strange but this time the sea makes the photo. Its colors are amazing and the fact it seems oil gives a calm atmosphere.

This is a very refreshing rendition of sunsets. It feels like I'm viewing it while partially submerged in the water. Beautiful.

Great shot! I haven't been to Boracay in ages, but I do remember it offered great sunsets. I like the way u captured the "silky" texture of the water and the silhouette of the boat in the distance. Thanks for reminding me of Boracay...

Hi Serena! wonderful photograph!! perfect warm light. this is definitely a golden hour. nice oily effect of yhe steady peaceful sea water. plus the "pump boat" adds a punch on this. splendid!
