Photographer’s Note
I realised I haven't shown any images from my own country...time for the first one.
Here we have the nuclear plant of Doel near Antwerp. The village of Doel is under treath as the port is expanding. The entire village will be destroyed to make way for container terminals

Hi Steve,
Thats an interesting one but with quite a sad story. Love the contrast between the silo and the green grass with the people sitting quietly on the bench, the two just don't seem to fit together. Great lines and angles.
All the best for 2009!

Surrealistic ! In a way so typical Belgium, you know what I mean. A sad story, but a great photograph, full of a black sense of humor in my view:-). The opposing elements...the triangle of green grass...millimeter thought composition. Excellent work, something truly different in the Belgian gallery.

Wonderful perspective, excellent angle.
So sad that the village will be destroyed...thanks for sharing though!
