Photographer’s Note
Taken at Penimbawan stilt village in Borneo. I was really trigger happy with my camera the half day I spent in Penimbawan. I Shot anything classrooms to clothes drying, and always had my afficionados sticking behind me. I admit they did better crossing from a house to another on the bridges made from two bamboo poles tied together.
At last my little followers took the lead near the pier, I then had time for a compo that would illustrate the fashion and glory of my own fan club.
The toning, contrast and harsh grain comes from lith printing technique, which, i'll never say it enough, owes at least half of its process to pure random. It's really a game of hit or miss.

Luko, a timeless image of children at play. The pier leading off into the background seems to tell the story of what these kids are up to. Nice work!

Very nice shot! A case of classic simplicity and well executed.
You may consider dodging out that sky though.

luko, this could not be real..!! the children look like they were planted in this amazing background..reminds me of a technique used in the movie "the ring" only different tones.
the sky is blown out,but I love it!!
probably the first pic that I found blown out sky..fit

Photo de grande classe ! J'apprécie particulièrement la composition de cette photo, la vie donnée par les enfants, l'un dont le regard se perd à droite, l'autre qui attend ses copains, la quasi symétrie également de leur position.

Hey Luko, I like the composition quite a bit. Simple shot, nice textures and tones, and everyone can relate to the kids who want to show off their favorite spot. I would crop out much of the sky. That way the eye starts with the kids in the foreground and ends at the destination of the gazebo at the end of the dock. Good job here.

This looks really, really great Luko. I really don't have much to say critically. Everything just works here. Your printing technique(of which I know nothing) certainly seems to be assisting in making this a timeless looking shot. So good!

A charming photo. Possibly could cut a little off the sky, but really charming.

Timeless capture of a summer day. A couple of points which I like; the canoes at left helps draw one to the child at center, and the oversized shirt pattern compliments the actual wood pattern of the pier below.

Great shot Luko! the perspective is so well done here, I'd agree with Philip, crop some of the sky for extra oomph! The graininess only adds to the image.

Instead of my occasional 6 out of 5 I scale this one with a 7 out of 5 ;)

No need to say I really really love this one !
Everything make it perfect. Composition, light, choice of sepia, perspective effect, textures, children....
A great one !

Great shot. Too much blown-out sky though?
I like your processing skills very much!

This is a hit, Luko, all the way. It's amazing how many different tones you can get and as you said before the grain looks really good here as well. Great stuff! Hope to see more prints with this technique.

A definite case of 'hit'! Not only great 'subjects', but also a fantastic composition. Tones of color are beautiful.

The solitary pier with the kids on it makes for a great constrast with the calm water and then against the rolling hills on the horizon.
Good Shot!!
ran out of pts again....
