Photographer’s Note
Not a bad back garden to have!
A view from high above the road in Baranduda, a small village on the road out of Wodonga in northern Victoria near the NSW border.
Absolutely teeming with wildlife, the roos run freely and the bullants that swarm all over are big enough to nip your leg off. Nevertheless, a most beautiful area.

Hi James.
Yes, not a bad back yard at all. It reminds me of some photos I uploaded to TE that I took in the Mitta Mitta River valley. It's just a pity the picture is over-exposed, especially the sky. You could do something with the landscape below the horizon by increasing contrast (or working with 'levels' in Photoshop) but the sky is blown out beyond the point of restoring detail. A suggestion: with a compact camera like this one, take the exposure reading from the horizon itself or even just above it. It'll probably make the rest of the photo too dark, but you can always selectively lighten the darker area in software; the main thing is that you'll get more detail into the sky. On the other hand, perhaps this is just exactly how the sky looked and I should keep my mouth shut.
I think there might be a turn-off here to cross the Hume weir into NSW. Am I right? I've been to a place that sells smoked trout by the roadside a couple of Km on the other side. I've detoured there a couple of times on my way back from Mitta Mitta to Melbourne. Anyway, it's a nice area apart from the depressing lack of water in the Hume dam.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi James,
what a nice scene of the country side. You found a very good pov, the pathway works as the invitation to discover that place. I like to see the greenish on that field. Great job!
Regards,
Carlos
