Photographer’s Note
Located to the north of Portree on the Trotternish peninsula, the Storr Sanctuary is one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Isle of Skye. There are many photos of the Sanctuary on these pages so I will not go into too much detail in this description.
This shot is taken from the base of the Old Man of Storr looking North at the Needle rock and the Sanctuary below.

Hi Paul,
Nice vista including the Old Man and lots of context. The only thing you might improve here is the quality of light - earlier or later light would have given you even warmer color and would have modeled the landscape even better.
Cheers!

Very nice, although the colors are a bit washed out (probably due to being taken at noon or so). I have one doubt - isn't Santuary located on the other side of the Old Man of Storr? As I was going up the path, and passed the Old Man on the lefthand side and the rocku cliff on the right, I saw some sort of a pan surrounded by rocks before my eyes - it perfectly matched the name "Sanctuary", but was located to the south of the Old Man. Are you sure it's the right place, or am I mistaken? I need to find some detailed map... :)
