Aphrodite, Pan and Eros. The goddess Aphrodite attempts to fend off the goat-footed god Pan who makes erotic advances to her. She holds her sandal threatening in her right hand, while the winged god Eros comes to her aid.

Hommage to Muntather Al-Zaydi, the Iraqi journalist who reportedly was beaten before his arrest for hurling two shoes at President Bush during a news conference in Baghdad on December 14. As he threw the first shoe, Muntather yelled that it was "the farewell kiss, you dog!" The second, he said, was "from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq."

Hommage à Muntather Al-Zaydi, le journaliste irakien, tabassé avant son arrestation pour avoir lancé deux chaussures à la tête du président Bush lors d’une conférence de presse à Bagdad le 14 décembre. En lançant la première chaussure, Muntather a crié : « le baiser d’adieu, chien ! » Et avec la seconde chaussure : « De la part des veuves, des orphelins et de tous ceux qui ont été tués en Irak. »
