Photographer’s Note
The Institut de France (French Institute) is a French learned society, grouping five académies, the most famous of which is probably the Académie française.
The institute manages approximately 1,000 foundations, as well as museums and chateaux open for visit. It also awards prizes and subsidies, which amounted to a total of 5,028,190.55 euros for 2002. Most of these prizes are awarded by the Institute on the recommendation of the académies.

Hi Frederic,
I like your interpretation of the reality.
It is much more interesting, it shows us two different views combined in one creative artwork.
I like how the building is shyly showing its beauty partially hidding behind the wall of the pavement on this sunny day just after the rain has stopped falling.
My best,
Jeri

Bonsoir Frederic
Tu as eu l'œil en repérant cette partie de l'édifice se reflétant dans une flaque d'eau. Tu as bénéficié d'une belle lumière qui a donné un bon rendu des couleurs. Bons contraste et cadrage intéressant!

Ciao Frederic,
nice shot,a particular POV of this dome, the use of the reflex always creates particular effects, good definition also in the road.
compliments

Very well thought and executed shot for the building, I like the way you have flip the picture vertical to generate that 'Xtra'. The result is very intense graphical collage as the reflection merges in the converging lines of the pavement.

Bonjour Frederic,
Superbe composition :
par sa forme graphique : ce triangle est superbe,
par la qualité du reflet,
par l'idée en elle même.
Continue à te balader en regardant vers le sol
Bonne soirée

Hi Fred. Beautiful composition. The lines in the pavement, the glistening stone and of course the reflection. Well spotted and nicely executed. Chris

Wet pavements - little puddles, such a source of creative elements. Fabulous composition Frederic.

Definitely well seen and well arranged reflection photo, I think.
You need to have "the eye" to see this from such a small waterhole and you really need to be good at using tools of photography to make it such bright, well composed, amazingly contrasted...
Best regards,

Very nicely composed picture with fantastically brilliant colours and contrast. It's not until after a few extra glances one realises that something is wrong... that the picture is upside down. That the picture is squeezed into this gray wedge gives it very interesting lines. The contrast between the rounded cupola and the straight angles of the sidewalk adds to the experience. Nice!

TE is full of "reflection on the pond" shots but this is one of the best for sure fred... the golden lihgt glittering on the coble stones is what i like the most about this shot i think... a work of art wor sure...

Mais alors ca, mais ca, pfiou,du grand art.
Cette perspective inversée à 180° donne tout son effet, et un jeu de colorimétrie à tomber.

Hey Frederic - A well seen and captured shot! The semi reflection here creates mystary as well as a picture within a picture, the imperfect reflection creates it's own art in a exposition of life in a brush-like strokes...
A well done work!

Hi Frederic,
I've seen quite a few reflection shots (specially of Taj), but this one is surely the best of the lot for its very original idea. The partial reflection looks great- more like a movie like clarity. Goes straight into my favs.
I'll try a similar shot some time...
