Photographer’s Note
Unlike most people, I am always happy when Daylight Saving Time comes to an end in mid-autumn. It is only then that I can enjoy the fabulous night view from the window of my office. Once the sun goes down, and the city lights up, there is a magical feeling in the air. I can look out and see the lights from other office towers, and, sometimes, even see the other workers. :-)
On the left side of this view is Madison Avenue. There are only headlights because this street only runs north as it travels through the city. In the center, of course, is the Empire State Building. To the right, an anonymous skyscraper...its employees working hard after dark... :-)

Hi Brenda,
Not bad for a night shot...The colors and the contrast are quite good, with a lot of details and awesome sharpness.
One little thing:the building on right might crash as it`s leaning to the right:)
Thanks,
Nelu

Hi Brenda,
nice night shot, good title and composition.
I like the way you thought and took this shot to show working in night hours, Specially street and moving cars. Also I like the brown tone in this shot which is result of sunset red and buildings gray combination.
thanks for sharing

Hello Brenda:
I, same as you, like when the Daytime Saving Time ends. Certainly I don't like it at all, and some studies have shown that the energy saved is so marginal that we can live without it.
Going to your picture, it is very, very sharp. You have managed to take it exactly when most 'night shots' of cities and skylines are taken: when the lights of the city turn on but the sky is still not pith black. In this way we can not only see the lights from the windows but also the silhouettes of the buildings that have them. Exactly what you have done here.
By the way, in which floor you were when you shot this picture?
A very good work.
Greetings,
Jürgen

Hi Brenda,
Josep

Dear Brenda, it is an amazingly sharp image with well managed lights, although the difficult light conditions. I like tha way you composed this photo, the vertical line divides to the pic to 2:1. Best regards, Jalab

Hello Brenda:
Espectacular !

Hi, Brenda -
Very impressive vista. Wonderfully lighted, great POV and sharp details even with the low light. There is nothing like the NYC skyline and you've really captured a great portion of it here. I particularly like the closest building on the right where you can actually see the illuminated workspaces through the windows. Well done.

Nice capture Brenda, the sharpness of detail is really amazing and the play on light in the building to the right is just awesome. The brownish grayish reflection in the sky is fitting for this view of Gotham City I think, well seen and presented.

You've got a wonderful view from your office Brenda. I am sure whoever would work in such 'conditions' would hardly wait for Daylight Saving time to come. :)
Beautiful photo.

Hi Brenda,
This is a truly spectacular view, beautifully realized, and I am really jealous that you can enjoy it more often.
I like the brownish sky. I like the reflections in the building... The point of view is very original, also including the building on the right in the foreground -makes really great impression. It reminds me NY as presented in the movie Fifth Element.
Fantastic work,
