Photographer’s Note
This the view from Tivoli, a favourite place for emperors, popes and cardinals in the hills east of Rome. The climate up here above the plains was always cooler in the summer than down in the sweltering capital, and the two famous villas The Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa bear witness to the luxury in which people lived in ancient and medieval times. This shot was taken in late October and the weather was still pleasant, so one can easily imagine this as something close to paradise on earth - weatherwise and otherwise.

What a great landscape picture Per, an old photo but absolutely a lovely, good note too. Excellent composition here, good depth and soft of colours.
