Bonjour, cher ami Roger,

Bon weekend.

Hello Roger.
A very pleasing photo and sympathetic portrait. The photo has its main elements in a nice balance, with enough of the goods on the left to show his way of earning his living. The green metalwork balances the picture nicely. And of course, the man counting his money - is he pleased or not with his earnings? Good shot!

Andrew

Caratteristica immagine di vita quotidiana.
A quanto pare, l'anziano signore "old man", ha incassato un pò di soldi e se li sta contando.
I like it!

Bonjours,

Stupenda l'espressione dell'uomo, molto concentrato a contare i soldi.

Come dicono gli americani: a good shot!

Salut Roger,
Good capture of elder seller while counting his money and maybe planning of payment for next bills. The stone facade and religiously green colored part of window is excellent background with part of his goods. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.

Merhaba Rodger,
another masterful photo of yours showing us a
bit of hard daily life of Istanbullus.
I appreciate the concentration of the seller
but as a native person I still couldn't
decide whether concentration of people like
this uncle on money is due to their limited
income or they like money more than anything.

Bonjour Roger,

Hi Roger
He looks disappointed with his take for the day. there is a nice balance between the man, the window and his wares. It forms a nice triangle for the eye to move around.

Hmmm, not sure about this one Roger.
While the man makes an interesting looking subject, it's just a shame that we can't see his face. I know he's counting money, but waiting a couple of seconds until he glanced upwards would have made for a more succesful photo.
Also, the framing lacks balance - too much empty wall at the top, and we need to see more of his stall.
In my view, framing horizontally tight on the man and the stall would have worked better, and like I said, waiting until the man's face was visible.
Sometimes it pays to hang around to wait for the right moment rather than just grabbing the shot and moving on. Also, try and explore different compositions, as the first shot is rarely the best.
Cheers,
Ben
