Photographer’s Note

The last day I wanted to post a picture very similar to his one... and that's the one I wanted to post today.

But finally I got the wrong picture in my pen-drive and, as I am not in my house, I only can post this picture.

The other was very similar.

This picture was made this very week in Covarrubias (this name means red caves, due the caves in the mountains of the village along the bank of the river).
It's a very important village and its story is also great.

It's the mothercountry of the father of Castile, Fernan González. This knight was a count who created what we call know Castile. And Castile was a medieval kingdom and now is a region of Spain.

This village is also important due another men and women and also its history has a sweeden princess.

And, if we talk about his history, we should talk about the "glosas covarrubienses", the third text found in Spanish language (only 20 km far from here was written the glosas silenses, the first one).

And between the "glosas silenses" and the "glosas covarrubienses" there is a little village called Quintanilla del Coco.

Maybe you have listened before about this place.

The river of the photo is the Arlanza river, and due the snow and the rain, its level was very high that day.
The photo was made with tripod and, again about this village, you cannot miss its old houses, its "Colegiata", its church (Saint Thomas Church was linked to Saint Peter of Arlanza monastery, as Quintanilla del Coco's church, and both have the same style and were built by the same people), its blood-sausage and its tower of Doña Urraca (if you don't who is... you should know something more about El Cid).

I hope you like it.

PD: I know Miguel likes this place... this is for you
