Photographer’s Note

El último fin de semana mi esposa y yo hemos tenido el placer de conocer a Charo y a su esposo Jose, que estaban en Premià de Mar visitando a su cuñada Rosa.
Como Premià está muy cerca de Barcelona, nos pusimos en contacto y organizamos un pequeño encuentro en la ciudad.

El lugar escogido para encontrarnos fue delante de la Casa Batlló, ya que es muy conocido y fácil de localizar. Pero como se ve en la foto complementaria en el WS, la multitud abarrotaba esta zona del Passeig de Gràcia, porque es temporada de compras navideñas.

La hora azul era demasiado tentadora como para no intentar una toma con la versátil cámara-puente que llevaba conmigo.

El resultado me gustó, y he querido dedicar esta foto a mi amiga Charo, y compartirla con todos vosotros.

Last weekend my wife and I have had the pleasure of meet Charo and her husband Jose, that they were in Premià de Mar visiting to her sister-in-law Rosa.
Since Premià is closely together of Barcelona, we contacted and organized a small meeting in the city.

The chosen place to meet us be was in front of the House Batlló, because it is much known and easily to locate. But as one sees in the complementary photo in the WS, the multitude was overstocking this zone of the Passeig de Gràcia, because it is a season of Christmas purchases.

The blue hour was too tempting as not to try a capture with the versatile bridge that I was carrying with me.

I liked the result, and I have wanted to dedicate this photo to my friend Charo, and to share it with all of you.

Hello Josep,
Indeed there was a crowd of people in front of Casa Batlló on your second picture. But isn't there always a crowd ? Anyway there was also one when I visited Barcelona. I like the architecture of Gaudi and the interior of Casa Batlló is also very special.
The light on the balconies is very beautiful and the golden tones look really nice in the blue hour. With the light from the interior even the stained glass of the first floor is clearly visible at the outside.

Salut Josep,
Je ne suis pas sûre que vous aviez choisi le meilleur endroit pour vous retrouver (heureusement qu'il y a les téléphones portables!) mais tu as fait une fantastique photo de la Casa Battlo. On dirait que tu l'as transformé en un étrange sapin de Noël où les balcons deviennent des boules dorées très originales.
Couleurs, netteté, composition, tout est parfait. C'est une très belle réalisation.

La façade de l'immeuble prend des formes singulières avec ces balcons semblables à des masques chinois !

E a cor do céu é o resultado da mistura da luz amarelada com o azul celeste? Gosto muito desta bonita perspectiva que põe bem em evidência as varandas do edifício e os pormenores da parede.

Cette photo est magnifique. La lumière sur cet immeuble de Gaudi lui donne des tons dorés du meilleur effet. En plus c'est l'heure bleue, heure magique. La végétation ajoute une note de vie à l'ensemble.

hehe, the WS is a funny picture, Josep. I wonder how did you find Charo...well the intro profile shows well her face, so I guess that it wasn't so hard ;-) This is a wonderful vertical framing of my favorite façade in Barcelona. Even more attractive than the 'blue' sky, is the lighting on the architecture making those spectacular balconies stand out like faces of the imaginarium world of Tim Burton.

He vist el WS i la veritat: m'alegro de no estar a Barcelona. Això és molt més tranquil.

La foto és molt bona i la llum, amb els seves ombres, llueix molt bé. Sembla a més que vau gaudir d'una molt bona estona amb Charo.

I saw the crowd in your WS and it is surprising that you found your TE friends amongst the crush! This is a wonderful blue hour image and I particularly like the way the Casa Batllo is lit. Very well exposed and framed to include the tree.

Great lighting on this building, showing the very unusual design, especially those balconies. You took this at a really good time of the day too, with some light still in the sky, which makes the photo more interesting. Well done!

Una bonita estructura arquitectonica, digna de un gran genio. El punto de vista en contra-picado me gusta, porque permite visualizar el contraste de tonos suaves de la fachada frente al firmamento de la hora azul

very nice the Batlló house by Gaudi, with these specific architectural elements on it. Now,during the Christmas days with this splendid yellowish-golden artificial light the house became more attractive and effective.The people in the Ws complete the image of this construction.Well done.

Me recuerda nuestro viaje a Barcelona y sobre todo el conocerlos.
Me gusta mucho tu composición con la famosa Casa Batlló, la has captado en la hora azul con un magnifico punto de vista. Los detalles y colores están muy buenos. Buen trabajo el poder conseguir una buena foto en tu WS con la cantidad de personas que había dentro.
Por la nota de Charo veo que tienen un tiempo lluvioso y frío.

Beautiful, beautiful!! Perfect lights with excellent colours on this photo. La Casa Batlló is magestic itself, but choosing this upper detail, adding the silhouettes of the tree resulted a great composition. The little yellowish sky is a bit strange but works very well here!

Sin duda, de tus tres fotos de la Casa Batllo, esta es la que mas me gusta aunque la de las vidrieras de colores también me parece muy bonita,
una buena iluminación y buen encuadre,

Otra encantadora captura en este medio plano de tan explendido edificio, el color ha quedado genial con esa tonalidad dorada, un buen trabajo con esa luz nocturna ya que la calidad es optima, pues se captan perfectamente los inmumerables detalles de la fachada.
