Photographer’s Note

It was the lake where I found more quantity of birds until today: Swans, ducks, doves…

In the WS, You can see more picture from the lake.

The Lake Leman gives Geneva much of its character and is central to exploration of the city. You can stroll the pathways, take a dip at the beach and watch many kind and quantity of birds…. Taking a boat cruise soon after you arrive in Geneva is relaxing and provides an excellent overview of the area. One of the best ways to cross the lake is on one of the small ferries, the Mouettes (there are two routes).

The Lake
You can find the whole of Switzerland on the shores of Lake Geneva snowy mountains, bucolic wine-villages, city nightlife, the sound of cow-bells in rolling pastureland, castles, cathedrals and the dreamily beautiful, cerulean blue lake itself (Lac Léman in French, Genfersee in German). The southern shore of the lake is in France, taking in the mighty Savoy Alps as well as Mont-Blanc a little further south. The northern, Swiss, shore forms the economic and cultural focus of Suisse Romande, centred around Lausanne, an energetic, endearing city that’s too often skimmed over in favour of Geneva’s more limited pleasures.

Bom dia Aires, excelente aproximação ao cisne cinzento. O que mais gosto aqui é o efeito brilhante dos reflexos como pano de fundo A luminosidade que emitem é incrível nesta imagem. Também gosto bastante de ambos os WSs e em especial do WS1 - também não sei o nome do pássaro mas já o tem sido muito difundido pelos grandes do TE.

Hello Aires,
Young swan with the feathers trailers not to so nice, as at the adult individual. For the moment reminds with appearance the ugly duckling, but soon this will be beautiful, king′s bird. I like these birds. Is their many in season over a lake in Strykowo, which so often I show. Sigma very well passed an examination. Nicely present light, simple picture and excellent POV, good colours and the very good sharpness.
