Photographer’s Note

While driving to do the weekly shopping, taking a curve I spotted this farm. I snapped real quick as it was a dangerous curve and the traffic would not stop for me.
It was a really bright day and I just figured I had nothing to loose.
It looked rather pitiful on the LCD but once home,I discoverd what I had really photographed, after using levels to brighten it, and there were horses in the shadows of the building.

Hi Dot,
I really like this picture, with just these few colours. A very "clean" and well balance composition. A slight pity that you didn´t have time for another shot so you could have included the top of the barn as well. But this is still a very fine photo, with the line of horses following the slope of the roofs.

Hi Dot,
Lovely country shot of these horses coming out of the barn for some late winter grazing.
The deep red barns contrast nicely with the clean white snow.

Bonsoir,
belle photo de ces chevaux qui sont sortis de leurs écurie pour trouver un peut d' herbes fraiches.
Pour etre fraiche elle va etre fraiche, recouverte de neige il ne saurait en etre autrement.

Hello Dot,

It is fascinating with the horse looking for food in the snow!
And rest assured he will find some, like the reindeer over here they live in snow most of the year and much worse conditions...
This is a fine situation report, and I notice the lovely March light!

A nice photo of a cold rural scene on a sunny day. Well captured. I would have cropped out some of the snow in the bottom. It is not possible to see such a scene where I live.

a really pleasant shot of this winter scene. i like the red colours that break through from the white icy environment. Light is well controlled and it is well managed.
