Photographer’s Note
At Christmas time, Edinburgh sets up a Christmas Fair and Market along its main street - Princes Street.
At night time it looks good with all the lights, but the contrast between the Ferris Wheel and the Victorian Scott Monument is really pronounced.
The street decorations are quite subdued and 'tasteful' this year, while the fair is a bit over the top. They also have an outdoor skating rink set up.
No tripod for this so I'm so glad for the benefits of image stabilisation.

I like Christmas atmosphere, although sometimes they make it a way over the top with all the lights and music, so sometimes it looks like a disco lightshow rather than Christmas. I like the trees covered with those blueish little lights, like in "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know, where the treetops glisten..."
