Photographer’s Note

The Bolivian Congress in front of the main square (Plaza Murillo) in La Paz.
This building was constructed by the jesuits when this part of America was a spanish colony. When the Spanish crown expelled the jesuits from all its possesion (XVIII), this building became a school... and in the time of independence, when the capital of Bolivia was moved from Sucre to La Paz, it became the congress. [told to me by a congress' guide in the year 2000, I may not remember all details]. By the way, it is forbidden to take pictures inside the Congress.

In this park there are a lot of doves, as in many cities. It would be a common sight if it wasn't that La Paz is like 3700m above sea level. Doves can survive anywhere!

The monument on this park has four words writen on its sides. Here "Union" and "Gloria" can be read.

Kodak-something ISO 100 slide film.

Rotated CCW 1°, cropped, increased saturation 5%, auto levels, curves and unsharp masking to all but the sky.
