This tamarind, known as the Combed Tree, is already a touristic point on the coast of Piauí and is placed by the roadside. It has grown up with a different shape for the constant wind that blows from East to West most part of the year.

An interesting tree, well shaped from the constant winds. The plain behind is well framed by this tree and its shadow. The trees in the background seem to be well protected from the strong wind here.

fascinating the view as the presentation of the Tamarind that really must be the main touristic point of the area.I like its excellent placement in the frame as its panoramic view of the phenomenon.

I understand your notes, I live on 20 km of the North Sea also here are almost all trees oblique through the north wind.
But your picture is wonderful, pleasant to look at.
Your picture exudes calm, excellent sharp and clear.
Composition and presentation be superb.
Very well done, TFS.

Buen trabajo. Me encanta.
Disfruta de un buen fin de semana.
Saludos muy cordiales.

Very funny looking tree, wow, must be alot of wind in the area to push the tree completely to one side. I have seen many trees on our coast, leaning toward inland because of the wind from the ocean, but never this much. Amazing it still stands. Excellent quality shot with good sharpness, natural color and good light.

Quite a fascinating tree for sure, I've never seen one like it before...definitely windswept! :) Amazing what the forces of nature can produce, and it seems impossible that it would still be standing with this incredibly unbalanced posture. A really neat and original entry for TE. Bravo! Have a great day ahead. All the best.

Unusual shape the tree has taken as it appears to be perpetually windy and gusty. The soil and the sky contrast well...an unusual beauty from nature...TFS

This is such an amazing sight, a tree that seems to be completely ignoring the forces of gravity!
I love how you have made it fill the f/g so that we have sharp details of its trunk and branches as well as its stature. Your composition allows it to cover the whole countryside, like a huge, natural parasol!
Have a lovely day,

Excellent composition. Beautiful with the piece of blue sky between the branches of the tree and the horizon.
In this large plain this tree provides good shelter during the hot days.
Best regards, Paul

a very effective composition with the tamarind's trunk leaning inwards from the bottom right corner and its upper body reaching across the frame. This is a wonderful description of the tree's particular character and I also like how you are have allowed a clear, deep view into the landscape as well. The alternation of light and shadow adds interest, the colours are lovely. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

Interesting view on this tree influenced by the wind
Perhaps a little bit a wider position to show the top

I picked this one because it tells a story quite nicely. Although it looks calm today, I can imagine the wind this lonely tree has had to struggle against to grow. The framing is very tight, but you've presented it well with the skyline behind. Even though the tree is the main attraction, it almost serves as a natural frame to the shot. Beautiful colours and sharp detail. Very impressive.

curiosa mesmo essa árvore, merecia a foto! A sombra parece interesante também.
