Photographer’s Note

This is Maumau, the lodge’s calico cat, it was looking for company as our Ridgebacks had chased it up the roof. I found the perspective and tile symmetry interesting so I took several shots and got this result.

This is really nice. Well done Leo.
I like the earthy warmth of the red tiles, and the pitch black background to Maumau. The tilted head giving an inquistive look adds a lot to this.
If I have one minor gripe I'd say that I'd like to have seen this rotated slightly anticlockwise to straighten up the tiles and make Maumau's head tilt a little more. Apart from that, it's 100%.

I like this perspective and compo very much. great DOF and light. Usually i would have advised against the centered subject but here it works pretty well to balance the photo.. I like the surprised or curious look of that cat. nice undulation of the tiles too.

I have looked at all your pictures and the are marvellous. Wonderful subjects,great colours and beautiful atmospheres.
This one is a simple but lovely shot from a very good POV and good colours and frameing by the roof and the dark sky.
Well done and I will follow you as one of my favorites.

Very nice composition and colors. The colour of the eyes of the cat reminds the one of the tiles even if the first are green and the second red...strange.
