Photographer’s Note

I had a view to the detail of the mural "Conductores de Venezuela (Venezuelan Drivers)" of Pedro León Zapata in the “Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas” and saw the comment that there was a desire to show the mural completely. From my office on the 15 floor I have a view on the mural and took the opportunity to fulfill “smash2707” whish. In this image, a little blurred due to the fact it had to be taken through thick glass, you see in the background the university gym and vehicles of the university fire department; in the foreground the Francisco Fajardo city highway. On the bottom left is a bridge crossing over the Guaire, the river that crosses the Caracas valley.

Taking some references: While driving on the Francisco Fajardo highway and passing by the “Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas”, the biggest University in Venezuela, you can see Pedro León Zapata mural while,

The Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, built by Venezuelan architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva, a World Heritage Center is full with art works from various Venezuelan and foreign artists making it a wonderful open museum with many green areas and a peaceful ambient to study.

I hope this image gives an idea of the dimensions of the Pedro León Zapata mural.

I cropped the original picture and improved its saturation
