Photographer’s Note
A glimpse of daily downtown life, but in this case taken at a very special time, in the middle of christmas. As you can see, these are the street vendors that have taken over a boulevard and have all their merchandise on the sidewalks, and the abundance of clothing and accesories is amazing. This is at the start of the Callejón de los Pobres (alley of the poors) near Plaza Baralt, downtown Maracaibo. There's nothing you can't find here and at a very cheap price you can bargain, to walk in it is adventure all by itself, very narrow ways through the stands and people walking in all directions, it smells a lot like christmas in there with the heat.
