Even though the young goalie obviosuly needs to take it easy on the snacks, this is a beautiful photo. Sports photos are difficult to not be cliche. This has a few things that are required in a football photo, goalpost framing, net in the foreground. However, this photo has many things that make it exceptional. The goalie's hands out, but far off their mark, the kicker's expression and the angle of his leg, the ball in mid flight, the other boys posed around the field, the sky, water, beach striped background broken up by trees all make a wonderful story and great composition.
