Rainbow over Petare in Caracas, Venezuela
In the whole area of Petare, almost 400,000 people live, many of them in areas called "Barrios" in Venezuela, one of them depicted here. These Barrios, similar to the Favelas in Rio de Janeiro, are conformed by thousands of houses built mostly by the people living in them in steep hills.
People living in those areas sometimes face difficult access and due to the lack of urban planning, it is not uncommon to see houses collapsing after heavy rain.

Hello Leonardo ,
An excellent picture , with a fine cloudy sky and the attractive Rainbow . But what strike me the most , are the hills in the BG , covered by thousands of red roofed houses . From so far , that looks very picturesque . But , as you explain in your note , this is not a real paradise to live here .
Thanks for the share .
