Esta es una estatua en honor a San Juan Bautista, la misma se encuentra ubicada en la plaza Bolívar de la ciudad San Juan de los Morros en el estado Guarico, Venezuela.

Su imagen es imponente, la placa informativa que tiene en su base tiene escrito los siguiente:

"ESTATUA DE SAN JUAN BAUTISTA patrono de San Juan de los Morros, construída por orden del general Juan Vicente Gomez, en el año 1935. Mide 19,06 metros de alto y levantada en concreto armado.
Escultor de la obra: Alejandro Colinas.
Constructor de la obra: Renzo Bianchini.

San Juan Bautista nació el 24 de junio A.C.
Bautizó a Jesus el 6 de enero.
Martirio un 29 de agosto."

En la imagen se trabajaron los niveles de la estatua para aclarala, porque el contra luz del cielo la dejaba oscura.

The rays coming from the cloud have a divine feeling, It will have been even better if they should have cooperated more.

Me gusta el punto de vista que nos presentas aquí, y el cielo está muy lindo e interesante, también. Las nubes y la luz mezclan muy bien para crear una escena bella.

I think this view suits this statue well. There's a power exuded by the statue. And there's a power in the way you photographed it. The colors and lighting are bold. And the way the light rays connect the cloud to the head of the statue create a feel of the divine, life breathing from one to the other. That the cloud and statue both rise from bottom corners to an apex forming a triangle creates a strong underlying path. Well seen Mauro.

This is a great composition. Very clever use of the wide angle lens. The cloud on one side, and the monument on the other, which perfectly balance each other.

Hi Mauro,
This is a very strong image. Your point of view is great and nice and different. The bright white clouds with the light coming through just top off the whole image and add to the spiritual atmosphere. A well balanced composition and a great idea.
