Photographer’s Note
I'm not sure what the index of poverty is, or how many homeless there are on the streets; but I can tell you that is it part of everyday life to see beggars, so often that since it's uncomfortable to see them that we decide to ignore them, to put them in our blind spot.
On this assignment I made about homeless people, I found close to 15 hanging around and as an anecdote, a friend of mine asked me how many days did it take me to find them and I simply answered: 4 hours.
So I guess that's an example of how each and everyone of us ignores the bad things, other people's problems and look away.
