Photographer’s Note
I was going to throw away this photograph. But a closer scrutiny with a loupe revealed movement and a still head, so it was selected for archival…the film scanner did the rest.
This bird occupies the niche of the Bald Eagle and fishing eagles of the old world. It feeds of fish of various sizes and it is relatively tame as it will allow the photographer to approach it close enough for a picture.

It's amazing that you captured the head--and center of attention--so crisply. However, having most of the image so blurry is distracting. I'd crop this shot down so that the head is really large, and the blurred wings radiate out to the edges of the frame.
