Photographer’s Note
On our way to Las Agua de Moisés, we stopped to buy some "conchas". I really don't know exactly what kind of mollusk this is. People eat it raw with lemon (like people eat oysters at the beach). This picture shows the conchas selling stand, which was in the middle of a road with no other constructions nearby except a house on the other side of the road. The woman took the eatable part out, sprayed it with lemon and ready to eat.
One thing I like about the shot, besides the subject, is the color combination. It's all like grey, beige, brown and then the green of the trees, and the bright green of the lemons and the tanker of the woman that stands out.

Hi Yvonne. I looked at this a couple of times before deciding whether I liked it, but came back to it for the reason that you mentioned in your note about the combination of the colours - that definitely gives the composition a certain appeal. Exposure is good but perhaps a shallower DOF could have blurred the background a little and thus reduced the impact of the 'clutter' behind your main subjects which are the shells, the woman and the limes. Cheers . . . David

Hi Yvonne,
A simple but nice daily life scene, what first stands out here is the powerful color splash of her gree t-shirt against her dark skin, also the green lemons give it a sort of color balance. Her visage seems to me a bit out of focus.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves
