Playa Caribe is situated a few minutes north of Juangriego, at a small bay on the west coast of Margarita. You can reach it easily if you pass by the small fort up on the hill (Fortin de La Galera) at Juangriego and continue the road, or by bus or taxi from Juangriego. It is a fairly popular beach nearly a mile long (1200 m) with several restaurants and foodstands - and beach vendors. Beach chairs are available for rent and the waiters will serve you till waterfront.

Playa Caribe has white sand and a nice cooling breeze near the water so it's easy to get sunburnt because you don't feel overly hot. It has moderate waves and the water gets deeper fairly quick so is not suitable for the smallest kids, but bigger kids tremendously enjoy playing with these waves as they come in.

You can rent a boat or a ski-jet, and go see the tiny rock island facing the beach. Caribe beach is also good for surfing because of the waves. On the west end of the beach there are some rocky formations and caves to explore for the adventurous. All in all, Playa Caribe is a very enjoyable beach.

At night, the whole beach turns into a party time as music is turned on. People can dance on the beach, take a nightly swim, or sit at the restaurant tables. There is a hotel called Costa Caribe right outside this beach, however otherwise this beach is just 'in the middle of nowhere'

Gracias a sus excelentes facilidades se ha convertido en la preferida de muchos, especialmente los turistas caraqueños. Allí encontrará palmeras, todos los servicios y buenos restaurantes. A pesar de que no está cerca de Porlamar ni de los principales hoteles, bien vale la pena una visita ya que es el lugar ideal para conseguir un buen bronceado y divertirse. Aguas oceánicas. Longitud 1.050 m Temp. 23 C. Durante el día disfrute un excelente servicio de restaurante con atención en la playa, toldos y sillas. En la noche es hora de fiesta. Vale la pena el viaje y es fácil conseguir un taxi de regreso. No sobra hacer algunas recomendaciones: siempre lleve un buen bronceador con un factor de protección alto pues muchas veces el sol es inclemente y nunca olvide su cámara pues las oportunidades de buenas fotos no faltarán.
