Photographer’s Note

Boot trip on the Rio Caroni near Arekuna. Arekuna is luxury lodge on the Rio Caroni (Rio Caroni is tributary stream of the Orinoco). We are just going for an late evening tour to see river dolphins.

May be you are wondering about the palm trees looking a little bit cropped. On the top of the tree are living parrots using the fronts for building their nest.

das wirkt toll. Allein das Holz des Bootes ist ja eine Augenweide und die Flußperspektive mit der Umgebung machen das ganze zu einem Entspannungsausflug für die Augen.

Nice photo with a good perspective and a nice framing.
Fine reflections on the water, and fine color combination (green and brown).
I think there is some OE on the sky, so a higher shot velocity should solve that problem.

Very nice tropical view. Interesting note about the parrots desnuding the trees. Good POV with the triangular shape of the boat in the foreground and the trees plus their reflexion in the river, in the background.

Excellent composition using the front of the boat. Well focused so it is sharp front to back. I love the reflections in the water; there's a good quality about them. The only drawback is the white sky; not easy to control. When travelling we take what we get and you have made a fine composition.

I like the perspective of this image, it seems that we are mounted in the boat, excellent texture of the water and good saturation of the colours, a very beautiful place and one view of this river very pleasant, great shot.

Hi Achim, i'll stop on few shots of you. You seem to be a huge traveler, a capthaddock traveler as i see all countries you've visited ! Wow i'd love to visit so many countries. Venezuela attracts me a lot, so many things to see there. Your picture is quite good, composition is excellent with the inclusion of the neck of the boat, smoothly on this rio, with those palms trees, very moody picture but too burnt sky, with a deep blue sky it would have been excellent !
