Río de La Plata
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This picture is taken in Colonia, a small village in Uruguay. At the background you can see the "Río de La Plata", which is considered to be the widest river of the world. Its width grows till 220 kilometers (137 mi) where it opens on the Atlantic Ocean.
This river is part of the border between Argentina and Uruguay, and from the coast it looks even like sea (not the colour...)

Maria,
shots from Urugay are certainly underrepresented here at TE and that is a special reason to look into this and write a small critique. First nice to have a shot from there and second the composition with the building at the right and leading to the sea in the background with the sailboat struggling with the fierce wind is a good one. I guess that the use of a polarizing filter would have enhanced the colors of the sea and the sky as well as put the clouds more in contrast.

Olá Maria,
uma foto muito bonita essa, desses velhos casarões com o Rio ao fundo, achei interessante aqueles barcos a vela ao fundo também. Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço!

Hi Maria
Your capture of Rio de la Plata is really nice. It's sharp and clear with great details and very good color balance, and your note quite informative

Without reading your note I would have thought this is the sea. Amazing to think it is a river. Well composed image with the perspective from the house on the right leading the eye into the frame. Well done
Kath
Hello Maria, Yes the water looks like the sea but not the muddy water it belongs to a river for sure. A well composed, pleasant & clear image with good colour. Good informative note.
Thanks
