Photographer’s Note

If you want to leave the bussy life of Buenos Aires for a weekend retreat, it is not that easy. Houses everywhere, people hurrying up in cars through congested streets, noise and pollution. The easiest way is to take a 1 hour fast boat trip to Uruguay to Colonia. The time there stopped in the old colonial times. Quiet streets with lovely squares full of caffes and restaurants. Strategically placed oldtimers only contribute to feelings like being there at the beginning of the last century.

I had lunch there! the old was there then as well. it is a nice photo, good for the memories. I like Colonia very much.

Nice photo! So many details, colours, antique atmosphére on everything, like Urugai really is: car, rocks pavement, waiter at door. I like the trees also. Nice composition!

Gostei muito do efeito da estarada, misturado com essas gramíneas. O número de fotos do Uruguai aumentou bastante! espero que mande muito mais!
