INSIDE THE FORT Photo

Photographer’s Note

Here we can see the internal area of Santa Tereza fort, at right side we can see the chapel and, in the opposite side, the buildings where the soldiers could to rest, nowdays that building is being used like a small museun, with some archeological pieces and miniatures of Uruguayan forts. We can see a main path in the middle of the photo, it goes to the main entrance of the fort, at right.

Vemos aqui a parte interna da fortaleza de Santa Tereza, à direita vemos a capela enquanto que, no lado oposto, estão os alojamentos dos soldados, hoje transformado num pequeno museu com peças arqueológicas e miniaturas dos fortes uruguaios. Podemos ver o caminho principal do forte cruzando a imagem, ele leva até a entrada principal, localizada à direita.

Bom dia!
Ponto de vista muito bem escolhido (meio alto) e uma composição acertada e com resultados visuais muito atraentes e realmente belos! Gosto das formas das construções que, embora simples, ficaram ótimas na imagem! O gramado, os caminhos, as árvores ao fundo e o céu maravilhoso, tudo ficou muito bonito aqui!
Outra série que está excelente!

Pois eu estava à espera de também ver o interior deste forte. Curioso ver-se que na época não eram muito pródigos com as condições de vida dos soldados.
Tens aqui uma bonita composição que nos mostra bem as parcas facilidades do forte.

Jorge,
You chose a nice POV for this shot to allow us to see both buildings. The paths create nice diagonals through the shot creating a sense of direction. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail. I feel that the use of a polarizing filter would improve the sky and take out some of the glare from the stone buildings.

Uma bonita imagem com uma composição muito bem feita.
O ponto de vista é bem interessante e nos mostra de forma completa as paredes o chão com as linhas dos caminhos que determinam a composição estudada.

Hello Jorge,

I notice the chapel is constructed to withstand attack too, with thick wall built with solid stones!
This is a fine composition to show the interior of the fortification, with the chapel as an effective eye-catcher in the foreground...
Good details and a fine sense of depth!
