Photographer's Note

Puerta de la Ciudadela is one of the few remaining parts of the wall that surrounded the oldest part of the city of Montevideo, the citadel, which was torn down in 1829. It is located by Plaza Independencia, in Ciudad Vieja.

The trees are framing well the old wall. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the old wall. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

You have a great work to show us this monument, the only remaining historic wall in the heart of the city centre. It's well in postion being the significant object bounded by some lively scene, well exposed in bright day light with some nice colors and excellent overall contrast rendered. The only issue i find is the fig on the rhc. Great shot nevertheless. Fine work.

Hello Ricardo,

From your picture I see that Uruguay is one of the most beautiful countries. I must visit this country. I like the way you have presented this gate showing the statue through the opening. I love those palm trees and a bit of urban scene. The gray monument is a nice contrast against the blue sky.

Hi Ricardo,

Not your best photo, but you manage well shooting against the light. The Puerta is mostly in the shadow, but you got some nice definition. The sky is a little too much cyan tone. The person walking out of the frame is a little distracting. You did what you can with the situation. A pleasant photo.
