Here we have a view from the Punta Del Este and the area around its marina. We can see the lighthouse here too. Punta Del Este is the most famous tourist center in Uruguay. It is located inside a very tin peninsula that is considerate like the last limit of the Plate river estuary. One side of the peninsula is facing the ocean (Playa Brava) while the other side is facing the calm waters of that estuary (Playa Mansa). Punta Del Este has around 8,000 inhabitants only, anyway during the summer it receives around 900,000 tourists from Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. There are few towns in the world so exclusive like this one, there are many impressive rich houses there and it is full of millionaires and celebrities.
Punta Del Este was founded in 1829 in the tip of that peninsula; anyway it was difficult to reach the place because the peninsula’s route was ever covered with sands. The solution was gave when was planted many pine trees, that are part of the beautiful natural landscape of the town. Soon the place became being used like a place for holydays and an exclusive point. Nowadays we can found fabulous rich houses and many high buildings that are used by the tourists during the summer. In some aspects the place sounds like a Mediterranean beach.

Aqui temos uma vista de Punta Del Este e a área ao redor da sua marina, aparecendo mais acima o seu farol. Punta Del Este é o mais famoso centro turístico uruguaio, está localizado dentro de uma fina e estreita península que é considerada como o limite externo das águas do estuário do rio da Prata. Um lado da península é banhado pelas águas oceânicas (Praia Brava), enquanto a outra face da península enfrenta as calmas águas do estuário (Praia Mansa).
Punta Del Este tem cerca de 8 mil habitantes, mas durante a alta temporada recebe cerca de 900 mil turistas principalmente do Brasil, Uruguai e Argentina. Existem poucas cidades tão exclusivas como esta ao redor do planeta, a cidade está repleta de mansões fabulosas, milionários e celebridades.
A cidade foi fundada em 1829, mas o acesso a ela era difícil graças às areias que tomavam os caminhos de acesso no interior da península. Para solucionar o caso foram plantados muitos pinheiros europeus e hoje em dia eles fazem parte da bela paisagem natural da cidade. Logo o local começou a atrair pessoas que desejavam descansar e virou ponto de atração de turistas, milionários e celebridades. Ao lado de áreas repletas de mansões formidáveis temos muitos altos edifícios usados pelos turistas durante o verão. Em certos aspectos a cidade lembra muito uma praia do Mediterrâneo.
