Photos

Piriapolis fue ideada y creada por Francisco Piria, quién lo llamó "El Balneario del Porvenir".
Dentro de las construcciones que Piria llevó a cabo se destacan:
El Castillo de Piria (su residencia personal)
El Puerto de Piriápolis
La Rambla de los Argentinos
El Ferrocarril
La Iglesia (que nunca fue terminada ni utilizada como tal)

El Hotel Piriápolis
El Argentino Hotel
Voy a compartir con ustedes algunas fotos de estos lugares, en particular:
La Iglesia, el Argentino Hotel y el Castillo de Piria.

Comenzando por el Castillo de Piria, el cual fue construido en el año 1897 y fue la residencia particular de Francisco Piria.
Se encuentra en la ruta 37, en el km. 4. Su arquitecto fue Monzani. "Es replica de alguno de la Riviera Italiana y todo almenado con la originalidad de sus torreones por ser prismáticos y cilíndricos alternadamente"
Algún dato curioso y un poco triste es que a pocos metros detrás del Castillo existe un basural, y sobre el lado izquierdo del mismo
existen las ruinas del "Pueblo Andaluz". El cual fue construido para la filmación de la serie el española el "Curro Jiménez", lamentablemente todo esto está abandonado y en deterioro.
El día en que tomé la foto era un día terriblemente lluvioso y la foto la tomé debajo de un paraguas, por eso lo saturado del cielo.

The Church, the Argentine Hotel and the Piria's Castle.

Beginning by the Piria's Castle, which was constructed in 1897 and was the particular residence of Francisco Piria. It is site in the route 37, in km 4.
His architect was Monzani. "It is a replica of some Italian Riviera castle and with the originality of his towers for being prismatic and cylindrical alternately"
Some peculiar and sad data are that to few meters behind the Castle a rubbish dump exists, and on the left side of its exists the ruins of the "Andalusian Town". Which was constructed for the filming of the Spanish serie the "Curro Jiménez", pitifully all this is abandon and in deterioration.
The day in which I took the photo was a terribly rainy day and I took it underneath an umbrella, for that reason the sky is so saturated.
