Photographer’s Note

Colonia del Sacramento is a city in southwestern Uruguay, by the Río de la Plata, facing Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the oldest town in the country and capital of the departamento of Colonia.
Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, Colonia del Sacramento was later disputed by the Spanish settled on the opposite bank of the river at Buenos Aires.
That is why the city has an European look and feel.

Very nice! The muted colors overall make the orange roof really stand out. Nice use of lines, and everything is very crisp.

Nice shot with a great atmosphere!
There are a lot of grey tones in this photo. For this the orange yellow and green on the left are very strong. they lead your eye into this picture to the water.

Hola Daniel,
Típica foto de Colonia del Sacramento con sus calles empedradas y sus casas antiguas. Muy bonitos colores y buen contraste. Lástima que el clima no te ayudó (o eso parece) en tu paso por la ciudad. Aparte tuviste la suerte de que no hubiera turistas por todos lados que hacen que sea imposible sacar una foto "limpia". Saludos

Beautiful old street that lead directly into the sea, the view is classic and well done, compliments Daniel.

Muy bien lograda tu foto, me encanta el ambiente colonial de colonia... la nota explicativa es bastante ilustrativa, pero invertistes la foto?, te pregunto porque las letras de "El Cofre" están al revés.

Como sea, esas calles de piedra, me fascinan... es una bonita ciudad, imagino que toda Colonia es así, por lo que menciona Picardo.

i like this composition, daniel. the way you have composed the picture, the street "drags" the viewer into the scene and onto the river surface. excellent sharpness creates a feeling of actually being there: on the wet cobblestones. nicely done.
