Photographer’s Note

Laying together as neighbour creates lots of opportunities between Suriname and Brazil. Many kind of goods moving between two countries. Here another hand painted commercial on one of supermarket's wall at Brazilian quarter.

I'm planing to taste this famous beer at its origin country, so I'll be off maybe week or ten days. Then see you later.

Sending my special greetings to friends who will be participants of enviable TE Meeting in Rio de Janeiro during 07 - 08 March 2009.

Hey Ertugrul,

this is really what we can say a colourful picture! I's a feast of colours for the eye and a very interesting image full of vitality. The light is gorgious and everything is sparkling with it. Molto simpatica. And a masterful composition too.

The hand painted commecial of Beer really brighten up the supermarket on the outside! looks like the supermarket is run by chinese as I the address of the shoplot is written by mandarin!

For the present posting, it is really good. I like the women passing by without paying much attention to the imported beer! I also like the Chinese/Japanese (??) characters on the right of the door. Do you know the reason for that? Well done.

I love it!

Those vibrant colors the easy going aspect of the area and the ads render a beautiful local picture of life in Paramaribo. Framing of course is A+.

Hi Ertugrul,

Interesting to see this Brazilian beer advertisement in your contry. They're more interesting there tham in Brazil. But please don't take this one when your there, I recomend you to take "Original" if you can find it as its not a beer available in many places. Have a nice trip. Will you be participating in the meeting?

I love the colours and of course the subject. The women with their unbrellas adds dinamic touch, the composition is very nice, but I would had liked to see a slighted tight frame.

The beer is not of the best of Brazil, but the picture is great, with strong colors and excellent sharpness! If they put some tables in front of it on the street, that's what we call here the typical "buteco", of which my city (Belo Horizonte) is the capital. Well done!

This is a total beauty! I mean, just look at those colors... Sunny, happy, positive! I'm fully aware of the problems in Suriname, but that atmosphere... man, that's QUALITY! It's a very attractive capture, not only for the vibrant colours of the painting and the graphics of the façade, but also for the presence of the two women with umbrellas, with give another touch of life.
