mister, mister..., a photo from Para, Inland

Photographer's Note

A student was murmuring to me "mister, mister..." (mijnheer, mijnheer... in Dutch) while asking to take his photograph, during current lesson still continuing in the class. Most of schools haven't glassed window due to tropical environment in Suriname.

This was only single, spontaneous shoot and just converted from raw, without any cropping or straighten of frame.

Her open and candid smile fills the whole image, her joy is contagious. The iron net and the curtain make it very interesting graphically. If she looked sad, it would be an allegory of lack of freedom.

it doesnt nees cropping or rotating.... it is just fine. The central framing works well in that case, and he has a funny expression enhanced by the fact he is behind a grill.

Hi Ertugrul. And a wonderful spontaneous shot indeed. Without knowing the story behind you can sense poverty and hard conditions of life but anyway joy and happy smiles, a fine message. Caught in just the right moment, and the composition is good. I think the sharpness is one the fence, but in this case I actually think it adds to the story.
