Photographer’s Note

Yellow fever or am I at beach?

No. I'm not at the beach neither not in Brazil as I described in my last post good neighbour.

Me and Kency were planning to leave Wednesday afternoon for our trip to Brazil. Everything was ready except our Yellow Fever vaccins and its certification that you have to show valid one when you entering to Brazil, Venezuela and many countries like USA and India etc.

We couldn't get it since last Wednesday due to the strike at related health unit. So, we changed our plan and postponed the trip later.

Hi Ertugrul,
Bad news having to postpone your trip to Brazil.
At least you had the image to fit your unfortunate delima.
Love the subtle varying shades of gold and the lone boat making a lovely streak in the water.
The sky is quite dramatic and full of lovely richly textured clouds.

Yes, really very much the yellow color tone of this river. Normally for us, the December month is always the wet season. But in your place, the sunshine and season could be different? Good work.

Fortunately you beautiful shot has nothing in common with yellow fever, but it shows that in Suriname there is a yellow hour, when sunrise lighting allows taking a very romantic and artistic picture. Perfectly good job!

Hi Ertugrul,
I do some Travel Vaccinations and unfortunately Yellow Fever is one of most important.
But don't worry as when you'll finally obtain your shot - the vaccination will be valid for next few years, so there will be a possibility to perform a lot of journeys and to see many countries, indeed! :)
Shot is as yellow as the Yellow Fever WHO booklet! :)

in the first moment I misread your title and thought: "yellow river". Actually this river is golden, and the sky too and makes a very beautiful image. The silhuettes of the coast and of the boat really make a fine and necessary contrast. Another of your "atmospheric" pictures. Well done,

Beautiful image, my friend, with all this gold in a place gold is made of green, isn´t it?

Interesting you need to show yellow fever vaccination certification in the border... is there any difference, considering the region you come from? I´ve been there in Oiapoque and the docs from the Brazilian Air Force said vaccination is recommended, but not mandatory.

Hope one day to visit Paramaribo and Suriname. I have a crush for this country because of your photos.

I am sorry that you didn't make it to Brasil. Maybe you could have some "Nova Schin" at Parbo at least. :D
It's a wonderfuyl "yellow view", with a fantastic peaceful atmosphere. I like the profusion of horizontal lines and stripes that enhances the sense of motion on the boat.

Yellow fever gives me, but I think this photo.
