Suriname Paramaribo Bishop Monsignor Wilhelmus Adrianus Josephus Maria de Bekker celebrating his seventyth birthday at St. Alfonsus’ Church in Paramaribo with participants of Ronald Runaldo Venetiaan the President of Republic Suriname and his wife first lady Lieasbeth Venetiaan.

You have done something that I would never dare, taking a photo during the religious service. I even would not enter the church. But because we are all different, we can today see your good work. The light is superb and the fact that only the bishop face is clearly recognizable is fantastic. Very well done.

Interesting to see the tradition of the church in your country and this is the Vatican-style of Roman Catholic? I like the light+shadow play inside the church although some faces seem to be dark. Any chance to use fill-in flash to help with detail loss? Nice work.

Merhaba Ertugrul,
A great presentation of the ceremony, but also a very inspired photo and portrait. It's amazing the way you used that difficult light to produce an wonderful atmosphere that conveys the ceremonial mood with a touch of divine. One could argue that most of the faces are too dark, but actually that is a good thing because it makes the bishop stand out of the crowd.
