Photographer’s Note
Boat driver already left for opposite side of Suriname River on its muddy water; New Amsterdam. I photographed the scene at Leonsberg's small catwalk.
I lefted bollard at right side because want to show you about the differences between low and high tide. The dark area on bollard is approximately 3 meter.
Leonsberg : Located at northern part of Paramaribo. Closer to the Atlantic Ocean and at the beginning of beautiful Suriname River’s big mouth.
Leonsberg is a Dutch name. “Berg” means “hill” in English. It means the part of this area is “Leon’s Hill” May be there was a lot of “Dutch Leon” who were protecting the Paramaribo (capital city of Suriname) during colonization period ;)
Suriname River : The Suriname River is 480 km long and flows through the country of Suriname. Its sources are located in the Guiana Highlands on the border between the Wilhelmina Mountains and the Eilerts de Haange Mountains (where it is known as the Gran Rio). . The river flows below the reservoir along Brokopondo, Berg en Dal, the migrant communities Klaaskreek and Nieuw-Lombè, Jodensavanne, Carolina, Ornamibo and Domburg, before reaching the capital Paramaribo on the left bank and Meerzorg on the right bank. At Nieuw-Amsterdam it is joined by the Commewijne and immediately thereafter at the sandspit Braamspunt it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
The river has several sets of rapids as well as a few dams, the largest of which is the Afobakadam. The river's flow is interrupted by the Brokodo Reservoir, which therefore divides the river into two sections. The upstream section runs almost entirely through the Sipaliwini district, and the downstream section runs through the Brokopondo, Para, Commewijne, Wanica and Paramaribo districts.

Merhaba Ertugrul,
Nehir üzerinde bulutlar çok güzel görünüyor.
Ama ben nehrin rengine takıldım. Demekki erozyon sadece ülkemizin problemi değil.
Selamlar. Uğur

Merhaba, my friend Ertugrul,
Wow! a fantastic sky the one that you have caught in this photo, giving much protagonism him, because its great beauty deserves it.
The boat leaving its wake on the so cloudy and dark water is a good graphical detail, that it gives a great resistance with the rest of the image, and mainly, with wonderful clouds in the sky.
Great shot,
Regards,
Josep

Magnifique contraste entre mer et ciel; dommage que la barque soit un peu trop central; bel photo mais pour la baignade on est pas prêt de m'y voir...

Hello Ertugrul.
That is a dramatic difference between high and low tide if that is what the white and black signify. Great saturation in this shot. The puffy clouds hang in the sky quite leisurely. The boat motoring into the shot creates a nice pull for the eyes. Very well done contrast between the blue of the sky and the brown of the water.
Well done,
Chris.

White clouds, blue sky and a muddy river. A perfect combination to create a good picture. The perspective of the three elements along with the good use of light is excellent here. Good colors and details. I'm glad you included a person in the frame to add that extra graphical detail. Nice work Ertugrul :-)

Olá Ertgrul, another excellent composition of the Suriname river. Again the cloudy sky is quite attractive and here I like the diagonal of the surf left by the boat, as if he was going to fly to the clouds. Beautiful colors and good option of including the pole at right for the tide information.
Best regards,
Ricardo

Bonsoir Ertugrul,
La barque donne de la vie a l'ensemble , et nous conduit vers l'horizon et ce joli ciel.
La couleur de l'eau n'est pas très engageante.

Merhaba Ertugrul.
Another awesome photo! As usual with you, amazing light, colors and sharpness. It's impressive how you achieved such striking compo with so little lements and all that emptyness. You had a help from the clouds, but your talent helped a lot more.

Hi Ertugrul,
Very well defined colors with the muddy water giving way to the deeper water blue to the sky full of puffy white clouds. Very interesting note, where I live in New York State the Dutch were the first Europeans and many town end in berg and rivers in kill.

Hello Ertugrul. This is just splendid. The pole is well anchored as if it launches the boat to the water. Well framed perspective with wide sky and puffy white clouds. I like the shady area with good view of the distant horizon. Very well managed light and shadow and TFS. Best regards. Jusni
